Clinical Practice Resources has worked with Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners in a curriculum utlized in state of the art sexual assault training centers across the country. GTAs and MUTAs who engage in one of these training programs, receive specialized training in utilizing their skills as GTAs and MUTAs in a patient empowerment exam model, in order to become FTAs, Forensic Teaching Associates. FTAs support Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) and Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) programs across the country and internationally. Instructors apply the techniques of the well-patient exam, focusing instruction to the needs of trauma survivors. CPR recognizes that certification requirements vary from state to state and we will work with you to accommodate the particular requirements of each state’s standard.
To meet the requirements of SANE certification nationwide, GTAs and MUTAs who spend their time and money attending one of our nationwide training programs, obtain the skills necessary to receive multiple speculum examinations in a single session. Instructors are also trained to ‘role play’ with SANE/SAFE students, making our training program an invaluable resource for your Teaching OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) or for in-depth instruction on trauma interview, forensic evidence collection and documentation.
